Beaches in Fethiye Turkey

Here is the list of most popular and best beaches in Fethiye Turkey as there are no Hisaronu beaches because there is no sea coast in Hisaronu, hence the closest beach is Oludeniz.

1.Calis Beach

Calis, also known as “Calis Beach” is situated at the west entrance of Fethiye. 45 km away from Dalaman airport, 7 km from Fethiye center and 25 km from Oludeniz beach, Calis is one of the most popular tourist area of Fethiye. With its 4 km long sandy beach, Calis gets more visitors each year.
Beach side is full of nice restaurants, pubs, bars and hotels. The small street with local shops becomes colorful in summer nights.
Calis beach is known as the best place to watch the sunset. The view from beach is fascinating during sunset over islands. The average temperature in July and august is 32 degrees. During winters weather gets cooler but not so cold with an average temperature of 10-15 degrees.
There are better beaches in the area, but the sunset behind the islands off the coast is worth a trip to see.
From Fethiye’s marina, water taxi services cross the bay to Calis beach for a few lira. The service runs every 30 minutes during the season.

2.Oludeniz Beach

Arguably the finest beach in Turkey, and some say in the whole Eastern Mediterranean. So named, for its very calm seas, even during storms ,the literal translation is “Dead Sea” although Olu Deniz is more commonly known as the ” Blue Lagoon”. The area actually comprises both Belcegiz beach, a long stretch of sand, bordered by a lovely promenade with many places to eat, drink and relax that curls up towards to the Blue Lagoon itself. Behind the beach, the village offers more opportunities to shop, or enjoy the local restaurants.
Aside from the obvious attractions of the Blue Lagoon, Olu Deniz is also considered one of the best places in the world to paraglide, due to its exceptional height (1960 metres) and incredible panoramic views.
Scuba diving is also very popular here. The crystal clear waters, underwater caves, fauna and sea life attract divers both already certified, and those wanting to obtain their PADI certificate from one of the certified instructors in the area.

 

3.Patara Beach

In Turkey is one of the most charming beaches which is located in the ancient city of Patara. At 11 miles, unspoilt Patara is Turkey’s longest beach. Even more important, Patara has escaped the development that mars many lesser beaches around the Mediterranean thanks to the ruins of the once mighty ancient city from which the beach gets its name, and the resident Loggerhead turtles, a protected species which has been laying its eggs here for the past 40 million years.

 

 

4.Kaputas Beach

Located between the breath-taking regions of Kas and Kalkan, Kaputas is a gorge with a beautiful stretch of sand. The beach is very accessible through the Kalkan-kas road route. On a windy day, the beach offers an excellent opportunity for watching spectacular waves of blue water. It is familiar with local, which gives non-Turks an excellent chance to learn Turkey’s culture.

 

5.Kabak Beach

This is a great place to switch off from the world and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of untapped nature!

Kabak Koyu is a small village located on the west of the Turkish Mediterranean coast. Even though Kabak Koyu is close to Fethiye and Ölüdeniz, it is an oasis of calm compared to its neighbors. A heavily winding road of about 25 km connects Ölüdeniz with Kabak, giving some breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea and the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Besides hiking and maybe take a yoga lesson offered by some of the guesthouses near the beach, you will not have much to do in Kabak Koyu. However, Kabab is the perfect place to do nothing! Its beach of turquoise and calm waters is ideal for swimming and relaxing all day long. The spectacular views and the laid-back, hippie atmosphere are great to enjoy your well-deserved summer vacation.

 

6.Gemiler Beach

Lovely quiet pebble Gemiler beach is not so far from the Oludeniz. Beach is surrounded by pine and olive trees and located in front of the Gemiler Island (also known as St. Nicholas Island) where you may see the church of St. Gemiler Beach is just opposite of the St Nicholas Island which is worth visiting for it`s history. There are several simple fish restaurants serving fresh fish dishes. It`s a perfect day tour from Oludeniz; swim, snorkel, eat and snooze..

 

7.Kidrak Beach

This wonderful idyllic beach is 3km from Oludeniz and Belcekiz Beachand is the perfect place to relax in amongst the natural dense pine trees that surround it.
Kidrak Beach is national park like Oludeniz Blue Lagoon with sandy beach and crystal clear waters. There are special BBQ facilities for picnic lovers, snack bar, toilets and shower rooms in Kidrak beach Turkey.

 

8.Karaot Beach

Karaot beach is located in the village of Yaniklar in 15 km from Fethiye near the fresh water lake Akgol. The Akgol lake is famous among bird watchers because lots of birds stops there during seasonal migration. The coastal line is under protection so no construction near the lake is allowed. Karaot beach with its rich flora and fauna is great touch and feel real nature.

 

9.Kuleli Koyu Beach

Kuleli village, beach and cove sits between Fethiye and Oludeniz , it’s a very popular anchoring point for yachts and a destination for the daily boat trips; it is possible to walk there using the trail paths fromFethiye that lead through lush thick forest that give shade from the hot summer sun and have spectacular views. The water here is cool, clean and crystal clear and there are changing cabins available. Kuleli is pebble, shallow beach so great for whole family and children friendly. At night time Kuleli transforms from relaxing beach to bright beach night club with sparkling atmosphere and good sound.

10.Aksazlar Beach

Is a perfect place to enjoy scenery of Fethiye relaxing and sunbathing on the beach.Set in a secluded location with beautiful views and surrounded by woodland, Aksazlar bay is an ideal place for a relaxing day out. With it’s beach area, shady areas, beach bar, vitamin bar and restaurant that serves snacks as well as a la carte meals. There is something for everyone here..

11.Katranci Beach

Katranci Bay is situated where the Aegean meets the mediterranean Region. The bay is located 16 km away from the Fethiye centre.
Covered with pine and eucalyptus trees secluded beach, blue and warm sea is waiting for you. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent as well as restaurant, toilets and shower cabins for your convenience.
